Avinash Tiwary and Mrunal Thakur to star in Johar's ‘Ghost Stories'

Filmmaker Karan Johar’s last venture — Lust Stories on the web was much talked about. Karan has brought in Avinash Tiwary and Mrunal Thakur on board for his Netflix’s upcoming anthology, Ghost Stories.

Avinash, who received rave reviews from the critics and the audience, for his acting debut in Laila Majnu, and Mrunal, who was seen in films like Love Sonia, 

Super 30 and Batla House, will play the leads in the short film that revolves around the horror and supernatural genre.

Karan, who is known to promote emerging talent, will be directing a horror flick for the first time. “Both Avinash and Mrunal have proved their talent in their debut films and are looking forward to working with the director,” says a source. 

The film has already been creating buzz as this is the first time Karan is venturing into the horror space. Ghost Stories is a series of four short films directed by Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar and Dibakar Banerjee.
